Seeking support for Substance Use Disorder? Learn more about how we could help
MAP has a long-standing history of successful peer support and has helped thousands of people on their pathway toward stability and recovery. Enrolled members have a pre-scheduled session once a week for the entire length of their program engagement, which involves their assigned Specialist calling them via preferred phone to connect and provide support. We are working hard to improve insurance coverage for peer services so call us to see if your plan is covered.
"Certified peer support specialists are part of my treatment team. What made [my PRSS] so helpful was that she knew exactly what I was going through because she had been there herself."
We know what it’s like to be anxious, depressed, frustrated and stuck.
Let’s talk about it.
We know what it’s like for life to hit you so hard that you don’t feel like getting back up.
Let us support you.
We know what it’s like to be stressed, disconnected, traumatized and filled with self-doubt.
Let’s chat.
A peer support specialist is a person with “lived experience” who is highly trained to remotely support those who have suffered similarly to themselves. This is what we do here at MAP, match a peer support specialist with someone who is hurting so they can receive continuous support and 24/7 guidance from anywhere in the country. MAPs peer support specialists have struggled with mental health, psychological trauma and/or substance use, allowing them to guide you with vulnerability via telehealth through their own relatable experiences in a way clinicians cannot replicate.
Let’s walk together to build a path toward a better life as we connect through our shared experiences and hopes for the future.
How We Can Help YouMAP believes the best mental health treatment is a combination of support that intersects physician/treatment centers/hospitals, a clinical therapist, and a peer support specialist for holistic care that brings about impactful change toward a more fulfilling life. |
Your matched peer support specialist can help you:
Learn to articulate your goals for recovery |
Become an advocate for yourself regarding your care and treatment |
Learn and practice new skills |
Monitor your progress toward change |
By modeling effective coping techniques and self-help strategies that worked for them |
By supporting your treatment and life goals |
By supporting the recovery plans instituted by your physician and/or clinical therapist |
By taking the time to know who you are and relate to you about what you want out of life |
We want to hear about your struggles, your triumphs, your mistakes and your boss-moves.
Let MAP become your no-holds-barred place for exploration and support.
