Purpose

Healthy human connection in recovery is of paramount importance, and with MAP, there are many ways to connect. The relationship and sessions with your dedicated MAP peer recovery support specialist is the primary aspect of our service, but the MAPCares mobile application can be a valuable tool for patients and family members who want to leverage the power of technology to engage with other methods of support. MAP’s goal is to be there for patients and their families 24/7, and through multiple methods of communication.

For Patients:

Connect with other people in recovery who have walked a mile in your shoes to share content, strategies, experiences and tips to help promote community and support long-term recovery. Message other people in recovery, create events, post meaningful content and graphics, and writing in a gratitude journal are some of the key features that the MAPCares app provides.

For Family:

Family plays a very important role in the recovery process. In addition to utilizing your dedicated MAP peer specialist, family members can leverage the MAPCares app as well to connect with other family members who also need encouragement and guidance through the recovery process.
